Who writes this

I'm Yuchen Xiao — a Cloud & Platform lead at a German automaker's China operations, where I run Kubernetes and multi-region cloud infrastructure. I've seen firsthand how the new wave of AI SRE agents, observability copilots, and IaC tools can either save your on-call rotation or drown it in hallucinations.

What this site is — and isn't

This site is: independent, hands-on, opinionated reviews of AI tools for DevOps/SRE/Platform Engineering. We test everything we recommend. We don't run sponsored content. Our affiliate links never change our editorial judgment.

This site isn't: a press-release aggregator, a vendor-friendly "best of" list, or a paid placement opportunity. If a vendor wants to be on this site, they earn it by being genuinely good.

Why I'm building this

The AI agent era is creating an explosion of new DevOps tools — and a parallel explosion of mediocre marketing around them. As someone who has to make real platform decisions in production, I got tired of wading through vendor blogs and AI-generated "top 10" lists to figure out what actually works.

So I started writing down what I found. Other engineers started asking for the notes. This site is the public version of those notes.

How we make money
